Polecats v Wales

In a Polecats special event today the TAFE NSW Polecats will take on a team from their ancestral home, when they clash against the touring Wales Universities World Cup side at Kellyville Park.

With the Polecats regular season on hold during the 2017 Universities World Cup and with Wales side campaign over, team wanted one more match and who better than a club named after a animal from their own home country.

Wales brought a large squad for the tour and ended up fifth overall in cup, and while their 4 matches only heralded 1 win, the side is here to play footy, so the Polecats took up the opportunity to get some much need game time ahead of the finals.

“Looking forward to hosting the Wales World Cup uni team today, hoping for a tough game to help with our preparation going into the final run to the semis! It’s an honour to host an international team and am looking forward to a great day!” Polecats President Peter Lamey.

So with this very special international friendly match at Kellyville Park, let’s all get out to the game and enjoy an afternoon off International Rugby League, but if you can’t make the match or simply you live on the other side of the world then you can follow the live updates at www.polecats.com.au/live brought to you by our major sponsor Matrix Norwest.
